carte blanche was founded in 2004 by members of the Quebec Writers’ Federation. Since then it has grown into an internationally recognized literary magazine.

carte blanche is a Quebec-based online literary magazine that presents eclectic narratives in all forms and supports Canadian and international writers and artists, bringing communities of readers new stories and voices to help make sense of life and the world.

carte blanche publishes three issues a year and accepts poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, photography, translation, and comics with a focus on Quebec-based artists. carte blanche is a volunteer, not-for-profit project published by the Quebec Writers’ Federation, with support from the Canada Council for the Arts and individual sponsors.
